Aspen University to Open an Evening/Weekend Program for Pre-Licensure BSN Students

Offering Six Semester Starts per Year in Response to Overwhelming Demand in Phoenix

NEW YORK, Aug. 27, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- 黄瓜视频. (Nasdaq: ASPU) announced today the decision to offer nursing applicants an additional option to study for their pre-licensure BSN degree.聽 Starting in January 2019, 聽an evening/weekend program will be offered to qualified applicants currently sitting on Aspen鈥檚 wait list. The pre-licensure BSN curriculum is identical to that offered in the current day program and 69% of student鈥檚 coursework will be offered using Aspen鈥檚 distance learning modality.聽 The 鈥淓鈥� cohort (evening) students will start three times a year; January, May and September, while the day students will start in July, November and March.聽 This allows Aspen the ability to double the number of starts and the number of students attending its inaugural Phoenix campus.

This option will allow a select group of students to fulfill their goal of becoming a professional registered nurse while going to school at night and on the weekends.鈥澛�

The clinical or core part of the program will take six terms and can be completed in two years.聽 Dr. McNamara will be providing academic oversight for the curriculum and execution of the BSN evening program.
